Meningitis is a disease in which the membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord become inflamed. The infection is commonly caused by viruses or bacteria. The treatment depends on the causative organism. The campaign’s theme “Advocacy and Engagement” is a part of the WHO’s Roadmap to Eliminate Meningitis by 2030.
