A consensus work between vaccination committees & medical experts established the most common  vaccine -preventable diseases. These experts have agreed on a new vaccination plan for adolescence that takes into account meningococcal vaccines, Human papillomavirus (HPV), pertussis, the Flu and COVID-19 & other travel recommendations.

Adolescents are the second age group at highest risk of invasive meningococcal disease after those under five years of age.
