A group of four parents are spearheading ‘Meningitis Now” campaign to increase vaccination rate among young adults. These parents lost a teenager to meningitis so they’re emphasizing the importance of getting our children vaccinated. 

Dr Mary Ramsay, head of Immunisation at PHEngland said:  “Young people are particularly at risk as they are carriers of the disease…”

Dr Tom Nutt, chief executive at Meningitis Now, said: “This is a brave step by these parents to speak out and a timely reminder to others to make sure young people get the Men ACWY vaccine.
