From pre-school students through college students, the state of Oklahoma wants every parent to check their children’s vaccination records.
Schools and colleges are institutions that are highly susceptible to contagious diseases. This is particularly true because children and young adults often have poor hand washing habits. They are also not as careful to cover their mouths properly when they cough. These factors along with close contacts with large number of other people can make them breeding grounds for the transmission of infectious diseases such as Meningococcal Disease. In light of these facts, the State of Oklahoma wants every parent to make certain their children are fully vaccinated before entering school.
