A 17-year-old boy, who was in training with one of his basketball teams but plays for two different clubs
was hospitalized in the San Bassiano hospital, with high fever and loss of consciousness.

The emergency room and intensive care doctors after laboratory tests confirmed the diagnosis of bacterial meningitis. Close contacts, which had risen to 280 people, are being contacted.
