A courageous group of four Moms’ who lost their vibrant and talented young adults to Meningitis B have joined together to create a public service announcement about this deadly disease. 

Their college students all died from a strain of meningitis that at the time didn’t have an approved vaccine.  The PSA is called, “Meningitis B Shatters Dreams”.  The purpose of the PSA is to inform everyone that there is now a vaccine for MenB.  This vaccine though has to be taken separately from the older MenACWY vaccine that has been available for over a decade.  So even if you’ve been vaccinated for meningitis in the past, make certain that you get the additional MenB vaccine that has only been on the market for about 1 year.  Check with your doctor without delay.
