According to statistics from the Spanish Society of Neurology (SEN) that every year about a thousand cases of meningitis is diagnosed in Spain.

Ana María Grande Tejada, pediatrician at the Badajoz Maternal and Child Hospital and second vice president of the Spanish Vaccinology Association, states, “In the smallest babies it can start with a fever and should always consult a pediatrician. The best treatment is prevention and this is achieved with vaccination.”
