Meningitis outbreaks have become a reality for many colleges across the United States.
Today, most students are vaccinated before going to college for serogroups A,C,Y,W-135. Until last year though serogroup B meningitis did not have a CDC (Center for Disease Control) approved vaccine. The good news is, now there are two approved meningococcal meningitis serogroup B vaccines. So even if you have been vaccinated in the past for meningitis you will need to get another vaccination to protect you from meningitis B. So don’t delay, get yourself fully protected by being vaccinated.
