Vaccinations are both helpful in preventing your students in getting the disease aa well as from spreading it to others.
The Meningococcal vaccine fights against the Neiserria Meningitidis bacteria which causes spinal meningitis and septicemia. According to CDC, even with treatment, 10 to 15 % will die from meningococcal disease. 11 to 19 % who survive will have long-term disabilities like amputations of arms & legs, brain damage, hearing or eyesight problems, etc.
