During the pandemic when things were at a standstill with people staying at home & with borders closed, there was a drop in the rate of meningococcal meningitis at the same time a decrease of number getting vaccinated.
Now with school and university students back in classrooms and with borders reopening, there’s a real concern. Meningitis Foundation co-founding director Andrea Brady said, “The best form of protection is through vaccination.”
