Jamie Schanbaum is an amazing young woman who took a very bad situation and used it to help other young people such as herself.

Jamie’s dedication to educate and promote vaccinations that can protect other young people against meningitis is inspiring.  After contracting meningitis in 2008, Jamie has gone forward with her life despite the disabilities the disease caused.  Her courage, determination and dedication is amazing.   As Jamie states, “When it comes to hard times & setbacks are placed in front of us, we must choose what to do.  I chose to lift myself up and move forward . . . I chose to live my life.”  Thank you Jamie for being an inspiration!
