Warning Signs

The Department of Public Health Midwest are urging the public to be aware of the warning signs of meningococcal meningitis following the death of a teenager.

Contact your medical provider if you or someone is experiencing some of these symptoms but not limited to: high fever, headache or stiff neck, vomiting, rash, seizures. Anyone can contract meningitis but babies, young children and teenagers are the most common age groups affected by the bacteria.
