Vacation Nightmare

Lilliana seven-month-old @ the time her family went on a dream vacation to Phuket, Thailand.

Her mom, Elisha Robinson said,“I couldn’t believe it. She was well and happy in the morning and dying by lunchtime.” Liliana came down with a slight fever, taken to a local hospital to get checked out but just four hours after being discharged, she suddenly lost consciousness and turned blue. She was taken back to the hospital where she was diagnosed with meningococcal disease. Once stable, Liliana was airlifted from Phuket to the capital Bangkok.

Two weeks after in intensive care, Lilliana and her family, were flown back home to the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia to begin the long road to recovery.

Elisha said, “Celebrating her first birthday felt like a dream. It wasn’t long ago that this was a birthday we never thought we’d see.”
