World Meningitis Day is April 24 & the theme this year is “Take Action”. Dr. Soofie, medical head at Sanofi Pasteur Vaccines said, “The pandemic has resulted in people missing their immunizations and the number of (IMD) invasive meningococcal meningitis cases is expected to rise when people gather in large groups again.” Meningitis can be very serious that can take a loved one’s life in 24 hours so the World Health Organization (WHO) has approved a global road map to defeat meningitis by 2030.
