According to The Florida Department of Health, the number of cases identified in 2022 surpasses the 5-year average of meningococcal disease cases. So FDOH is recommending vaccination amid the  outbreak.

Close contacts are being contacted to be given information & treatment options and epidemiologists are investigating each case.
